• Single: 3ft – 90cm x 190cm
• Small Double: 4ft – 120cm x 190cm
• Double: 4ft6 – 135cm x 190cm
• King: 5ft – 150cm x 200cm
• Super King: 6ft – 180cm x 200cm

Which size is right for you?

Single (3ft) beds suit children's rooms, guest rooms and box rooms. Small double (4ft) beds are perfect for a solo sleeper who wants more room, or couples in a compact bedroom. The double (4ft6) is the UK's most popular size for couples. If you want more space to stretch out, a king (5ft) adds width and length, while a super king (6ft) gives the largest, most luxurious sleeping surface.

Measuring your room

Leave at least 60cm of walking space around the bed where possible, and remember to allow room to open wardrobe and bedroom doors. If you are choosing a divan with drawers, leave space at the side for the drawers to pull out. If floor space is tight, an ottoman storage bed lifts upwards instead, so it does not need extra clearance.

Do not forget the headboard
