Made to order vs mass-produced: the real difference
A mass-produced bed is built in bulk to one fixed specification, boxed, stored and shipped when you order. A made-to-order bed like ours is built after you order it, to the size, fabric and colour you chose. Neither is automatically better — they solve different problems.

Be honest with yourself about urgency. If you need a bed in the room tomorrow, an in-stock bed from a large retailer will beat us. If you want a specific colour, a specific size, or a headboard style that actually matches the room, made to order is worth the few days' wait.
What you actually get for the money
Our beds start at £220.99 for the Ottoman Gas Lift Divan Base in Single 3ft, and our mattresses start at £142.99. Across the range, frames and bases run from roughly £220 to £640 depending on size, design and fabric. Every one of them includes the same things: handmade construction in our own West Yorkshire workshop, free mainland UK delivery, free fabric swatches on request, a 5-year frame guarantee, and Klarna or Clearpay if you would rather spread the cost.
Six questions worth asking any bed retailer
These are the questions that separate retailers, and we would rather you asked them of us too. Ask everyone the same six and compare the answers:
- Where is the bed actually made? "UK company" and "made in the UK" are not the same claim. Ours are built and upholstered in Batley, West Yorkshire.

- Does the storage actually fit what you need to store? Measure your suitcases and duvets first, then check the opening and the mechanism.
Choosing the right Eagle Bed
- Short on bedroom storage? Start with our ottoman gas-lift beds (the whole platform lifts) or drawer storage beds (pull-out drawers, no lifting).
- Want a statement headboard? Look at the wingback beds or the Chesterfield beds.
- Want clean, modern lines? The panel beds and upholstered bed frames are the place to start.
