What is a gas lift bed?

A gas lift bed uses hydraulic gas struts to lift the whole mattress platform on a hinge, opening up a large storage compartment underneath without needing to move the mattress off first. It's the most space-efficient way to add hidden storage to a UK bedroom, from £220.99.
