Frequently asked questions

Drawers or ottoman: which storage bed should I buy?

A drawer storage bed has fixed pull-out drawers built into the divan base, so you open one compartment at a time with no lifting. Drawers need clear floor at the side of the bed but nothing above it, so they suit rooms with sloping ceilings, low windows or a shelf over the bed. An ottoman bed lifts the whole mattress platform on gas struts and needs clear height above the bed, giving one large compartment.

How is Cambridge different from Oxford?

Same drawer storage, different headboard: Cambridge has a vertical panel headboard, while the Oxford Panel Storage Bed has a horizontal panel headboard.

How much floor space do the drawers need?

Leave at least 60cm of clear floor on the drawer side so the drawers open fully.

What sizes does the Cambridge Storage Bed come in?

Single (3FT), Small Double (4FT), Double (4FT6), King (5FT) and Super King (6FT).

Where is the Cambridge Storage Bed made?

It is handmade to order in our own workshop in Dewsbury, West Yorkshire, on a solid wood frame.

How long does delivery take?

Delivery is free across Great Britain by our own team and usually takes 3-5 working days. Northern Ireland is £90.

What warranty does it have?
