End lift or side lift?
- End lift — the platform opens from the foot of the bed. Best when you have clear floor space at the end of the bed. See the Ottoman Gas Lift Divan Base.
- Side lift — the platform opens from the long side. Useful in narrow rooms or when the foot of the bed is against a wall. See the Side Lift Ottoman Storage Base and the Side Lift Open Ottoman Bed.
Base only or a full bed?
Choose an ottoman divan base if you already have a headboard, or a complete ottoman bed with a matching upholstered headboard, such as the Mayfair Ottoman Storage Bed, Bumper Ottoman Storage Bed, Florida Ottoman Gas Lift Bed or Cloud Teddy Bouclé Ottoman Bed. Do ottoman beds need a special mattress?
No. The platform takes any standard UK mattress in the matching size. A heavier mattress simply makes the lid feel weightier when you lift it.
What fits under an ottoman bed?
The storage runs under the bed, so it suits spare duvets and pillows, bedding, suitcases, out-of-season clothes and other bulky items.
How long does delivery take, and can I return a bed?
Delivery is free across Great Britain (England, Scotland and Wales), made by our own team, usually within 3–5 working days. Delivery to Northern Ireland is £90. Returns are free within 14 days if the item is unused, unassembled and in its original packaging, and a faulty item is replaced free or fully refunded. See our returns policy.
