Single Beds 3FT UK — Handmade Single Bed Frames & Mattresses | Eagle Bed
Single Beds (3FT) — Handmade in West Yorkshire
Every Eagle Bed design is made in Single 3FT, the standard UK single size that takes a 90 x 190cm mattress. Single beds start at £220.99. All of them come with free UK delivery, a 5-year guarantee, free fabric swatches and Klarna or Clearpay so you can spread the cost. They are handmade to order in our West Yorkshire workshop, not imported flat-pack.
This page lists only the sizes we genuinely make: Kids Single 2.6FT (for younger children) and Single 3FT (the standard single). If you are buying for a guest room, a box room, a child moving out of a cot bed or a student room, start here.
Single 3FT storage beds — the most useful single you can buy
A single room is usually the smallest room in the house, so under-bed storage matters more here than anywhere else. These three are the Single beds that solve that.
| Bed | Storage type | Single (3FT) price |
|---|---|---|
| Ottoman Gas Lift Divan Base | Whole mattress platform lifts from the end on gas struts | £220.99 |
| Side Lift Ottoman Storage Base | Platform lifts from the side — for a bed with its foot against a wall | £249.99 |
| Cambridge Panel Storage Bed with Drawers | Pull-out drawers — no lifting | £259.99 |
| Oxford Panel Storage Bed with Drawers | Pull-out drawers, horizontal panel headboard | £259.99 |
| Sussex Panel Storage Bed with Drawers | Pull-out drawers, plain panel headboard | £259.99 |
| Line Bumper Ottoman Divan Bed | Gas lift ottoman with bumper-line headboard | £324.99 |
| Multi Mini Line Divan Ottoman Bed | Gas lift base with matching upholstered headboard | £324.99 |
If the foot of the bed will be against a wall, a radiator or a wardrobe, choose the side-lift version — it opens from the side instead. If you have clear floor at the foot of the bed, the end-lift base is the lower-priced of the two. Both need headroom above the bed to swing open.
Single 3FT upholstered bed frames
No built-in storage, the lowest and lightest look, and standard under-bed boxes still fit underneath.
| Bed | Style | Single (3FT) price |
|---|---|---|
| Mirror Strip Sunrise Bed | Mirror strip headboard detail | £285.99 |
| Indigo Line Bed | Line panel detailing | £311.99 |
| Eagle Mayfair Panel Bed | Deep vertical panels | £311.99 |
| Hilton Wingback Bed | Curved winged head and footboard | £337.99 |
| Stone Premium Bed | Architectural stone-inspired headboard | £467.99 |
Children's singles — Kids Single 2.6FT and Single 3FT
Two designs are made specifically for children's rooms, both in the smaller Kids Single 2.6FT as well as the standard Single 3FT:
- Line Kids Velvet Bed — Kids Single (2.6FT) £285.99, Single (3FT) £311.99
- Mini Line Wingback Kids Bed — Kids Single (2.6FT) £285.99, Single (3FT) £311.99
Both are upholstered all over, so there are no exposed hard edges on the headboard, and both come in the same fabric range as the adult beds.
Add the mattress — single mattresses made in the UK
A bed base or frame is sold without a mattress, so most single buyers need both. Our single mattresses are made in the UK and fit any Eagle Bed single base:
- Memory Orthopaedic Mattress — Single (3FT) £142.99
- 3000 Pocket Sprung Mattress — Single (3FT) £220.99
Example: the Ottoman Gas Lift Divan Base in Single 3FT at £220.99 with the Memory Orthopaedic Mattress at £142.99 gives you a complete storage single bed for £363.98, delivered free.
Will a 3FT single fit?
A UK Single 3FT mattress is 90 x 190cm (3ft x 6ft 3in). A Kids Single 2.6FT mattress is smaller again. Measure the wall the bed will sit against, then the floor space left in front, and leave at least 60cm of walking space down one side. If you are choosing a gas lift ottoman, also check there is nothing fixed above the bed — a shelf or sloping ceiling — that would stop the platform swinging open.
External frame dimensions (overall length, width and headboard height) vary by design: DATA NOT AVAILABLE — REQUIRES VERIFICATION. Email eaglebedofficial@gmail.com and we will confirm the exact measurements for the bed you are looking at before you order.
Fabrics and colours
Singles are made in the same fabrics as the rest of the range — plush velvet, chenille, Coniston, Naples, Galaxy and Teddy bouclé, with custom fabric on request. Colour on a screen is never exact, so order free fabric swatches before you decide.
