The Mirror Strip Sunrise Bed is an upholstered bed frame with elegant mirror strip detailing across a deeply padded headboard, catching the light for a subtle, glamorous finish that suits modern and traditional bedrooms. It is handmade to order in Dewsbury on a solid timber frame, from £285.99 in Single 3ft to £428.99 in Super King 6ft, with free delivery across Great Britain.

What is an upholstered bed frame?

An upholstered bed frame is a solid timber bed base with a fabric-covered headboard (and often footboard), padded for comfort and finished in a colour or texture of your choice — unlike a metal or bare-wood frame, it adds softness, warmth and a tailored look to a bedroom. The Mirror Strip Sunrise takes this a step further with reflective strip detailing woven into the upholstery, from £285.99.

Deeply padded and finished in your choice of fabric, this bed frame is built on a solid timber base for lasting support.

Ottoman, drawers or plain frame?

Plain upholstered frame — this bed. No built-in storage, the lowest and lightest look, and standard under-bed boxes fit beneath. Choose it if you already have storage elsewhere. From £285.99.

Divan with drawers — fixed drawers built into the base (Cambridge, Oxford and Sussex Panel Storage Beds, from £259.99). No lifting, and you can open one drawer at a time, but you need clear floor in front of the drawer side.

Gas lift ottoman — the whole mattress platform lifts on hydraulic struts, giving the most storage of the three: end-lift from £220.99 or side-lift from £249.99.

You're viewing: a plain upholstered frame with no built-in storage.

Will it fit?

Mattress sizes below are UK standards. Measure the wall the bed will sit against, then the floor space left in front, and leave at least 60cm walking space at one side. Check ceiling slopes and low windows before choosing a tall headboard.
